2017 Jamboree

The Columbia Heights Jamboree is an annual city-wide summer festival, celebrating our local excellence, achievement, and talent.

EVENTS

Heights Idol

6/24 at 6:30 pm outside of Murzyn Hall (if it rains it will be inside)

 

Cash Prizes & Trophies will be awarded by the judges!  For more info call 763-706-3733 

FREE Kids Fishing Clinic Thursday, June 22nd 6-8pm at Huset Park West (by the splashpad)

Must pre-register as there is a 50 person max!   Featuring experienced anglers to teach basic fishing skills, casting, lure selection, fish ID and fishing safety.  

*All equipment is provided and no experience is required

* Guardians must chaperone their children  

Tasty Pizza Medallion Hunt! Wednesday, June 21st 2017

Clues are posted daily at Tasty Pizza and their Facebook page 11:00 am & 5:00 pm.  $1,000 cash prize!

Our annual JAMBOREE PARADE will be held this year on Friday,  June 23rd, 2017 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm.


The Parade begins at 45th and Central and proceeds South to 40th Ave, ending at 5th st.   

Admission is free for spectators.

If you'd like to participate in the parade (fees are applied), please go to and fill out the parade application form.  

Waffle Breakfast

The Lions are Teaming up with the Columbia Heights Boosters for an awesome breakfast! Join us Sunday, June 25th from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Our breakfast will consist of waffles, sausage, beverages, a bloody mary bar, mimosas.

 

$8 adult $5 kids
Kids 5 and under eat FREE! 
Lion members are selling tickets in advance


 

Columbia Heights Lions Beer Garden

Join the Columbia Heights Lions at the beer garden located by the carnival. This is a cash only bar with several beers on tap!  Cans of IPA will also be for sale!

6/25 Noon - 6 pm

The carnival grounds will be fenced off

$2 admission per day 
Kids 12 and under free with guardian

Adult Softball Tournament and Home Run Derby

6/24

Softball Tournament is an all day event.  We are still filling up teams so, contact 763-706-3789 if your interested in participating

Homerun derby starts at 7 pm

Live Music with Local band Skipdilly

Come join us for some live music and dancing!

6/24 5:30-6:15 pm at the Height Idol Stage (inside Murzyn Hall if the weather does not cooperate)

 

Athletic Boosters Heights Hustle 5K Run/Walk

Saturday 6/24 7:30 check in, 8:30 race @ CCHS Track

Register at www.chathleticboosters.com (online registration is preferred)

Bean Bag Tournament in the beer garden (Beer Drafts for sale.  We will also have cans of IPA for sale!

Jamboree weekend- Tourney is on Saturday.  First rounds start at noon

$20 entry per team

Trophies will be awarded to 1st-3rd place teams along with cash prizes (1st $125, 2nd $75, 3rd $25)

2017 Jamboree Fireworks

Come Join us for the fireworks at dusk Saturday 6/24!  If they are rained out Saturday, fireworks will be at dusk on Sunday 6/25.

FREE Kids Art Class Saturday, June 24th 2017 11:00 am - 2:00 pm at Murzyn Hall

2 part project taught by Ariane Kokes of Created to Grow in St. Anthony

****Registration is required (limit of 50 youth)***
Parent/Guardians must chaperon their children
 

Karaoke

Come join us for a night of karaoke at the Lions beer garden!

Free Art Fest / Craft Fair

Come out and join us to see local artists.

 

Vendor show at Murzyn Hall
Saturday 10am -2pm

There will also be a jam sampling from local vendors!
